This Porsche comes with all factory books and even the original window sticker!
It was ordered in this beautiful Lapis Blue Metallic color, with a blue canvas top, over Graphite Gray leather seats. The Tiptronic S was a $3,210 extra, 20 years ago; further extras included 8-way power seats, cruise control, remote control alarm system, and a wind deflector. Air conditioning was standard on US models.
Twenty years ago, this Porsche sold for $51,850. That's before sales tax and licensing fees. Today, the price of entry for a Boxster is set at $70,400.
Carpeted frunk contains the spare and the filler for the windshield wiper reservoir.
Front license plate rests in the spare cover's pocket. It has never been mounted.
With the top up, it's very easy to mistake the Boxster for the Carrera Convertible.
Motorized power top works fine. We just had Jason from Porsche specialist RS Enterprises in Ventura replace the cables and one of the motors to make sure it works flawlessly.
With the top down, the Porsche provides open-air motoring at its finest!
This Boxster comes with near new, chromed 18" wheels which are in flawless condition.
They are fitted with a set of Continental Extreme Contact tires, also near new.
Crack free, all original dash is all business, one of Porsche's hallmarks.
All of the gauges and control lights work as they should. We also just had the car smogged, so it's ready to be driven across the country, if that's where you live.
An expensive upgrade is the Planet Audio headunit with reverse camera.
Details, from left to right: cruise control stack, Porsche Tiptronic S shift lever, glovebox with factory books.
All original front seats just show minimal wear on the outer bolster, nothing to lose sleep over.
Both seats, close-up.
The body is straight as an arrow, has never been apart.
Convertible top is in good condition, shows just a bit of age, but no damage.
Since the horizontal surfaces showed fading clear coat, we had both hoods and the rear spoiler repainted.
Photos, from left to right: registration is good 'til June of 2023; stainless steel Borla exhaust system.
Thanks to the Boxster's mid-engine configuration, there's a spacious rear trunk.
Oil filler and dipstick are easy to access.
The car starts, runs, and drives without any issues. It is a pleasure to drive. Cruise in Automatic mode or use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel to drive it like a modern Ferrari or Lamborghini.
Steering is very responsive, brakes anchor the car with authority. There's nothing not to like here.
At 75mph, the 2.7-liter Boxer humms at a relaxed 2,800 rpm in 5th gear. Given that the redline starts at 7,000rpm, at which time the car will travel north of 160mph, you'll realize how understressed the Porsche's drivetrain really is!
We are offering this car to a rock bottom price, so low, in fact, that we have not been able to find a comparable car at an equal price, let alone for less.
Opportunity knocks, are you ready to answer?
