Starting in 1953, there was only the Corvette, to be accompanied in 1955 by the Ford T-Bird. The latter became a 4-seater in 1958, and until the introduction of the Dodge Viper in 1991, there was only one: the Pontiac Fiero!

Manufactured for 4 short years, from 1984 'til 1988, the Fiero is a rare bird in many aspects. Initially powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder "Iron Duke" engine, it got a healthy boost of horses in 1985 when the 2.8-liter V6 was introduced.

The 1988 Pontiac Fiero SE Formula presented here is from the last production year. It is equipped with the V6 engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It features all original paint and interior, and it may be the finest car of its kind outside a museum on the planet.

The reason for that lies in part on the fact that it has traveled a mere 7,485 miles from new. Yes, that's the total, original mileage.
It was parked in 1997, when its lady owner fell ill, so it has been off the road for the past 22 years!

The condition of the not-mounted front license plate and the area under the rear license plate is indicative of the general condition this Fiero is in: close to brand spankin' new!

Original books and California "pink slip" are included.

That is also valid for areas normally impacted by climate and road debris. One look at the valance under the front bumper tells more than a thousand words.

The undercarriage is of reference quality. The adage "you can eat off of it" is absolutely true here. We are certain that this car has never seen a drop of rain in its lifetime!

Floor pans. Notice the centrally mounted fuel tank.
