The car has been well taken care of all its life, and comes fully documented. The amazing documentation includes the original purchase order, delivery inspection form, data plate, warranty brochure, dealer packet with all brochures, and loan payment cards. Every receipt since then has stayed with the car. All of this documentation is carefully organzied in chronological order in plastic sleeves inside a 3-inch thick folder.

The original purchaser was a well-known land owner and farmer in Northern Santa Barbara County. The custom floor mats that he ordered embroidered with his initials, RPS, for Robert P. Sheehy, are still in perfect condition. The car was always garaged and proudly driven on special occasions. After over 25 years of ownership, failing health prompted Mr. Sheehy to sell the car to a close friend in the same area in Santa Maria. Dick Rhodes meticulously maintained the car for the next 15 years before it eventually ended up with a custom high end furniture manufacturer in San Luis Obispo. Jeff Thies also garaged the car and maintained it properly for the next 5 years. Eventually, we were able to obtain ownership of this heirloom quality automobile.

This V8-powered Benz features the classic German combination of Astral Silver coachwork over a black interior. It is beautiful outside, inside, and underneath, and a dream to drive. It does not show any corrosion or accident damage anywhere, runs well, shifts well, and handles perfectly. The original Becker radio and electric antenna are still in place and work as they should. Mileage now is 123,050, and the car carries period correct six-digit blue and yellow California license plates. This collectible Daimler needs nothing but a new caretaker.
It is ready for long-distance interstate traveling, Gentleman style.
