As the "impact bumper" G-models (1974 to 1989) come of age, quite a few survivors have suffered the indignities of lack of professional maintenance, outright neglect, ill-conceived modifications, or a combination of all three. What you'd ideally want to find is a low-mileage example that has been cherished by a PCA member, a car that was pampered, with all the service receipts to show for it. Here's one!

Looking very classy in its factory gray-over-black color combination, enhanced by Fuchs wheels with polished rims, a leather interior, and a host of options, all documented on the original, 1979 sales contract which accompanies the car, this Seventy-Nine ticks all the right boxes.

Rust and accident free, this is a Porsche that starts, runs, drives, and handles exactly like a "perfect" Nine-Eleven should. Tight, precise, and on the button, no excuses offered, none needed. It's the best SC we've driven in quite some time.
