A genuine survivor in the true meaning of the term, it is perfectly rust and accident free, and features largely original paint, original chrome, original interior, and original mechanicals. It was never restored, never needed restoration, so its integrity has been fully preserved. Yet the car has been attended to whenever needed.

Equipped with the fabulous 383 Big Block V8 and pushbutton Torqueflite automatic transmission, this Polara starts, runs, and drives absolutely heavenly, with no issues of any kind to report. We would not hesitate to jump in and drive it across the country! The car offers an affordable path back into time when these chrome-loaded monsters were ruling the streets of America.

Factory paint is all but gone in some places, giving the car a super cool patina. Note that all the factory markings are still present and clearly visible.

One of the most sturdy engines ever made by the Pentastar company, the 383 Big Block is equipped with the correct Holly 4-barrel carburetor and puts out the power of 330 horses. The engine code *P 38* documents the year of manufacture, 1960, as well as the engine size, 383. The *1-12* code states the assembly date, January 12 (1960). The Big Block starts on the button, falls instantly in a mellow idle, and runs heavenly, cold or hot.

There is no ill behavior to report, nor does it leak any fluids. This engine is as healthy as the proverbial ox.

The Hardtop's body is straight as an arrow, with no dings, dents, scrapes, or other imperfections to note. All of the stainless trim is present and in nice condition.

Interior looks all factory original, except it almost looks too good to be original!

Original headliner and sun visors in fine fettle. Both dome lights work.

Star cruiser dashboard is a sight to behold. Absolutely lovely.

Back lid-instrument cluster, type-writer style push-button transmission, translucient steering wheel, factory AM radio.

Front bench with 1/3--2/3 division is flawless.

Rear bench seat is every bit as well preserved.

All of the lights work, including the two rockets that house the backup lights.

All original, cavernous trunk, with factory spare, jacking equipment, trunk mat, and carboard side covers. Factory shop manual is included in the sale.

Unmolested undercarriage is splendidly preserved. No rust or accident damage, just a thin layer of surface corrosion. Gas tank has been refurbished, dual exhaust system is new.

This Polara needs nothing to be enjoyed right away. It runs and drives so well, that we'd not hesitate to jump in and take it to the other side of the country, in utterly style.
