With 300 horsepower on tap, the Zed-Ex transitioned smoothly from contemporary supercar to modern classic.

Accelerating from 0-to-60 in 5 seconds flat, the Twin Turbo keeps up with a Pagani Zonda C12 while leaving a Porsche 964 Turbo in the dust.

Built 30 years ago in December of 1991, VIN *JN1CZ24H8NX520852* is licensed as a 1992 model.

This is a 2-owner car that has been a Southern California resident from new. It never had any rust or accident damage, and it's fully sorted and ready to be enjoyed and comes with a fresh California Smog Certificate.

Also included is a factory owner's manual.

So let's have a closer look, starting up front, under the bonnet.

Motorvation comes from a 3-liter V6 with 32 valves and 2 turbochargers, all packed neatly inside the engine compartment.

We just spent $3,600 on a full service, including, but not limited to changing all fuel injectors, and all vaccum hoses under the intakes, servicing the air conditioning and replaced both rear shocks.

The engine is as clean underneath as it is on top, and there are no fluid leaks of any kind. A new California smog certificate has been issued on November 15, 2021.

The streamlined body is straight, and since it's never been apart, features perfect shut lines on all doors and hoods.

Most of the car's paint is factory original. Repainted -- blended in -- was the driver's door and the left rear quarter panel due to cracking clear coat.

Both glass T-tops are lockable. They can be removed in less than a minute and stored in their dedicated bags.

With the tops removed, the 300ZX offers true open air motoring.

Projector headlights, TWIN TURBO rear script.

Factory alloys are shod with excellent 225/50-16 High Speed radials up front . . .

. . . and brand spankin' new 245/45-16 Bridgestones out back.

Cockpit set-up is that of a true, no nonsense sports car.

Original dash top is crack free.

Mileage now is 105,932.

Cruise control, climate control, and sound system all work flawlessly.

Nissan comes with power everything and even features adjustable supension.

Multiple adjustable power front seats are super comfy.

Upholstery is all original and beautifully preserved. There is all but one tiny repair in the middle of the driver seat's front bolster.

All the lights work.

Carpeted trunk.

Factory Bose speakers, roll-up trunk shade, bags for glass T-tops.

T-tops, cardboard cover for spare, factory jack and tools.

Unused factory spare and inflator bottle (below spare).

Being a lifetime California car, the underbelly presented itself absolut rust free and beautifully preserved. We improved upon it by dry-ice-blasting the entire undercarriage, followed by our world class detailing.

The result is a true reference-quality bottom, perfect enough to score highly at a national concourse.

Rear end.

Early in November, we took the car out on a quick photo session.

The 300ZX starts, runs, and drives perfectly, with no issues of any kind to report.

Performance is otherworldly, so brisk, in fact, that we were no able to floor the loud pedal all the way while driving on public roads. The car simply takes off like a rocket, even with 50% throttle!

This Twin Turbo is an up-and-coming neo-classic that will firmly establish its place in the realm of the most desirable and collectible cars of the 1990s. That it is already 30 years old seems unreal to us, given its overall condition and utmost modern feel.

Opportunity calls; are you ready to answer?

Here is a 3 minute video of the car.

Addendum:
We sold this Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo in February of 2022 to a customer in Canada.
