Needless to say, this Porsche comes with clean carfax/autocheck/NVTIS history reports and a clear California title.
Full factory books and documents, including a stamped service booklet, accompany the car, as well as often-missing goodies like the original spare keys and the Porsche-provided Lackstift (vial of touch up paint).
Even the original bill of sale is still present. Original sales price of this fully loaded 964 in April, 1990 was well over $86,000.00, almost $150,000.00 in today's money!
Trunk looks spotless. Jack, tool kit, tire compressor, and unused spare are all accounted for.
Clean, and free of any corrosion. Brand new battery.
Unmolested undercarriage. Miraculously, there are absolutely none of the prevalent 964 oil leaks to report, due to the recent, major service, which included replacement of the offending seals and gaskets.
Smooth black paint with just very minor signs of use. Stock 964 wheels with excellent rubber.
Black power top works flawlessly and remains in fine condition.
Simply stunning.
Elegant cockpit. Desirable 5-speed G50 manual transmission.
Note driver's airbag.
Crack free dash top. All the pesky little warning lights that appeared on the 1990 model work as intended - a huge relief for all aficionados!
Black leather is original to the car and very nicely preserved. No rips, tears, or split seams.
The muscular rear view of the 964. The vulnerable lenses and center reflector are all in excellent condition.
Toothbrush clean engine compartment speaks volumes about the care this Porsche has always received. Having been driven just 3,000 miles annually, on average, there are no issues to report. Make no mistake, this big 3.6 liter, air-cooled boxer runs super strong.
The car is a joy to drive, especially with the top down.
Black Sonnenland tonneau over is easy to install - there is no shrinkage; it fits perfectly.
Single deviation from stock would be the updated KENWOOD stereo.
The car might still feature the classic, air-cooled boxer with its unmistakable sound, but is also contains all the amenities us "modern" drivers desire, such as power mirrors, cruise control, and air conditioning.
What a ride!
Addendum:
We sold this rare Porsche in November of 2016.
